Dogmapolis is a nine-level step pyramid towering above the Gulf of SimonSez in the mythical world of Symbolia — where sheeple carry burdenbags full of jewels for the King and Queen at the top of the pyramid, while Blakkenwite guards bark commands to maintain order, in a city that holds a mirror to the burdens and rules we live by.
Dogmapolis was the very first painting created for the Symbolia Medicine Cards deck — a project rooted in the mythic teachings of my grandmother’s book and the teachings within the story that I carry forward. This piece explores the structures we inherit, the invisible pressures we carry, and the courage it takes to step beyond them.
